What is the difference between hemp seed oil, CBD oil & full-spectrum CBD oil?

CBD-main

Full-spectrum CBD comprises all the elements of the hemp plant. Hemp seed is manufactured from the seeds of the hemp plant. CBD oil is from specific elements of the hemp plant.

The hemp-based products were legalized in the USA under the 2018 Farm Bill. The hemp plant belongs to the cannabis family alongside Marijuana. Although hemp and cannabis were legalized, Marijuana was restricted due to high tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels. The primary elements of hemp are terpenes, flavonoids, THC, and cannabidiol (CBD). All the elements are seed oil, full-spectrum, and CBD oil. The hemp plant and cannabis have THC levels below 0.3%. The two plants have been associated with multiple health and wellness benefits due to their anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. However, there is a difference between hemp seed oil, CBD oil, and full-spectrum CBD oil.

Full Spectrum CBD Oil

Full-spectrum CBD oil is manufactured with all elements found in the hemp plant; terpenes, flavonoids, THC, and CBD. Full-spectrum CBD oil is widely associated with unique health and wellness benefits since it offers an entourage effect. The entourage effect is the ability of various elements to offer more health and wellness benefits than a single one. Manufacturers also find it easy to manufacture full-spectrum CBD oil because many efforts are not required during extraction. Maayah et al (2020) showed that full-spectrum CBD oil is widely associated with various health and wellness benefits, such as reducing pain, but THC makes experts doubt its benefits. THC is the second dominant element found in the hemp associated with intoxicating effects. A high intake of THC leads to severe headaches, red eyes, poor memory, and anxiety. However, apart from full-spectrum, there are other types of CBD; isolate and broad-spectrum.

Broad Spectrum

Broad-spectrum CBD is somehow related to the full spectrum. It is manufactured using all the elements found in the hemp plant except THC. Broad-spectrum CBD oil is also popular due to its health benefits, such as reducing inflammation in the body. Also, most people find it preferable to full-spectrum since they can benefit from all the elements of the hemp plant without being exposed to THC. However, its users should also be cautious about the concentrations. VanDolah et al. (2019) reported that highly concentrated broad-spectrum CBD oil could result in THC-related side effects. CBD potency levels result in anxiety, severe headaches, and poor memory. On the contrary, terpenes and flavonoids don’t have any side effects, even with high concentrations.

Isolate

Isolate CBD oil is unique in the full spectrum and broad spectrum. It is manufactured using pure CBD oil. Therefore, its users don’t are exposed to entourage effect benefits. It is void of terpenes, flavonoids, and THC. It is also suitable for consumers wishing to evade the side effects of THC. Also, it would be the most appropriate option for those who believe in the therapeutic value of CBD oil from the hemp plant. Notably, a slight increase in the potency levels of isolate CBD results in its diverse side effects since its highly concentrated.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed CBD oil is manufactured from the organic hemp plant. Hemp seed oil is manufactured from the seeds only. The seeds contain various fatty acids and nutrients and are rich in high-end nutrients, making them beneficial to our general health and wellness. Hemp seeds are used in manufacturing various products, including energy bars, veggies, burgers, and cooking oil long bast fiber. Rodriguez& Pierce (2010) indicated that The common health benefits of hemp seed have various health benefits, including blood pressure and enhancing the hearts’ health by minimizing cholesterol and triglycerides.

Hemp CBD Oil

Hemp CBD oil is manufactured from various elements of the hemp plant. It exists in all three types of CBD. Hemp seed has various health and wellness benefits due to the unique properties found in various elements of hemp. It is crafted in various CBD products, including tinctured and beverages. The products are restricted by the Food and Drugs Administration due to their side effects when highly concentrated. The common side effects are anxiety, severe headaches, and poor memory. However, the side effects are escalated when THC levels high. Hemp CBD oil is restricted in some parts of the USA, including Idaho. Thirty-six states in the USA have legalized these products, while 14 are yet to.

Hemp Seed Oil Vs. CBD Oil

CBD oil is manufactured from various parts of the hemp plant. It can be either from the flowers, seeds, or stems. On the contrary, the hemp seed oil is from the seeds only. CBD oil is highly concentrated with CBD, likely to offer more health and wellness benefits, although if taken considerably. Although hemp seed contains low concentrations, it is also likely to offer various health benefits since it is rich in bioactive compounds, fatty acids, and nutrients. According to Mooradian & Michael (2014), hemp seed is suitable for cardiovascular health since it improves total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.

Our Hemp Seed, CBD Oil, and Full Spectrum CBD Oil Legal?

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized all hemp and cannabis-based products in the US territories. However, the states were mandated to determine whether the products would be legal within their territories. Unfortunately, some states find hemp-based products unsuitable for consumption due to the presence of THC. Therefore, 14 states in the USA are yet to legalize the products for recreational use. For the remaining 36, some have only legalized hemp-based products in medicines only. Besides, the Farm Bill was specific on THC levels in all hemp products. All hemp-based products are only legal if THC levels are below 0.3%.

Conclusion

Hemp seed CBD oil is obtained from the seeds only. Hemp seed oil is widely used in the textile industry and other food products such as cooking fat. On the contrary, CBD oil products are obtained from various plant parts: seeds, flowers, and the stem. It is believed to have high concentrations of hemp seed CBD oil. The common products manufactured from CBD oil are tinctures, beverages, and topicals. CBD oil is in three types, full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate. They are all attached to various health and wellness benefits due to their anti-inflammatory properties. Lastly, full-spectrum CBD oil is manufactured using all the elements of the hemp plant; terpenes, THC, CBD, and flavonoids. However, its users are recommended to take considerable amounts to avoid THC-related side effects such as anxiety and poor memory.
